Court of Arbitration for Sport reinstated FC Noah Jurmala in Latvian Virsliga
On July 14, 2021, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rendered an operative part of the award in the dispute between FC Noah Jurmala (Latvia) and the Latvian Football Federation (LFF).
In March 2021, LFF revoked FC Noah’s license to participate in Virsliga, the top-tier Latvian football league, due to alleged breaches of the club. Later FC Noah’s license was provisionally reinstated by CAS until the Panel issues the final decision.
Eventually, CAS upheld FC Noah’s appeal and ruled that FC Noah retains its license and participation in Virsliga.
SILA International Lawyers represented FC Noah Jurmala in the proceedings before CAS.
