New bill on the creation of separate courts of appeal and cassation intentions

According to Yakovleva Ekaterina, partner of the SILA International Lawyers company, the new bill on the creation of separate courts of appeal and cassation intentions that passed the first reading on February 16, will lead to a unified approach to application of the law in criminal and civil cases considered by the courts of general jurisdiction.

However, according to Ekaterina, this bill has significant disadvantages, in particular, the proposed version of territorial division.
