CAS rules in favor of Antonio Vutov (Bulgaria)
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has ruled against Hungarian club Mezőkövesd Zsóry for breaching its contract with the Bulgarian player Antonio Vutov. The club unjustly demoted Vutov to the second team without valid sporting or medical grounds and delayed salary payments.
The arbitrator confirmed Vutov had just cause to terminate his contract, citing violations of FIFA regulations and his contractual rights. The famous “Hungarian jurisdiction clause” was also declared invalid by the Sole Arbitrator, further strengthening the decision.
Mr. Vutov was successfully represented by SILA International Lawyers.
