Results of 2021

It is time to summarize our results in 2021. It was a challenging year for everyone, especially in the sports industry. It took hard work on all levels to gradually recover from all the previous difficulties and shocks.

And we can see some progress here.

Firstly, we have made the transfer of the year in the world of sports law – our friend Ivan Bykovsky has joined our team as a Partner of our brand-new Spanish office. In a short time, Ivan achieved great results within the SILA family.

Further, all SILA offices had great victories during 2021. Our lawyers achieved positive outcomes for coaches Andrey Kanchelskis, Salvatore Orofino and Fabio Lopez, Afshin Ghotbi, players Markos Kanalos, Deac Ciprian, Plamen Dimov, Radoslav Vasilev, Mathew Boniface, Serder Serderov, Peter Kolawole,  and FC Rubin Kazan in FIFA jurisdictional bodies, got all charges against FK Ventspils’s administrator Nikolajs Djakins dropped in UEFA Appeals Body, received positive decisions in several CAS cases in favor of Namibia Football Association, FC Nizhny Novgorod, Al-Arabi SC, FK Ventspils, biathlete Timofey Lapshin, football player Lukasz Gikiewicz. An extraordinary result was achieved in favor of FC Noah, which was reinstated in Latvian Virsliga in the middle of the tournament by a CAS decision.

What is more, SILA advised parties to the most significant transfers of 2021: Rami Kaib, Filip Dagerstål, Aleksandr Kokorin, Maksim Mukhin, Lassina Traoré, Ivan Temnikov, Miha Mevlja, Rayane Aabid, Aiham Ousou, Carl Starfelt, Eldor Shomurodov, Nair Tiknizyan, Kemal Ademi, Ivan Santini, Alexander Merkel, Alexis Beka Beka, Aimar Sher, Mateo Cassierra, Stian Gregersen, Deniz Hümmet, Queensy Menig, Fredrik Ulvestad, Faustino Anjorin, Reziuan Mirzov, and coach Markus Gisdol joined their new clubs with help from SILA.

Also, we have helped Rifat Zhemaletdinov, Aleksandr Sapeta, and Georgiy Dzhikiya extend their contracts with their current clubs.

Lawyers of SILA did their best to educate young lawyers and managers from all over the world within ISDE, HSE, Moscow State University, Moscow State Law University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), and RMA programs. SILA lawyers wrote several articles in Football Legal Magazine.

“Best Lawyers” and “Pravo.ru-300” recognized our results and included our company in their legal ratings.

We have restarted our SILA Prava podcast in collaboration with sports.ru – Russia’s most popular sports website.

Having all these achievements, we take a short pause to rest and show outstanding results in 2022.
