The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed the appeal filed Federación Venezolana De Fútbol (Venezuela) against the FIFA match agent Evgeni Marinov (Bulgaria)

CAS dismissed Federación Venezolana De Fútbol’s argument that the earthquake in Turkey on February 6, 2023, constituted force majeure with respect to the contract concluded by the parties.

Therefore, CAS confirmed the decision of the FIFA Players’ Status Chamber, which ordered Federación Venezolana De Fútbol to pay Mr. Marinov an outstanding amount and compensation for breach of contract without just cause.
