UEFA reduced the ban on Edgars Gauracs CEO of FK Spartaks Jurmala
UEFA charged Mr. Gauracs with active and passive match-fixing. The UEFA Control and Ethics Disciplinary Body (CEDB) initially suspended him for 10 years.
Following an appeal, the Appeals Body annulled the sanction for active match-fixing and re-imposed a ban for passive match-fixing (i.e., failure to report on time and in full) for 3 years.
Mr. Gauracs is considering appealing the suspension to CAS. He already applied for provisional measures.
SILA International Lawyers represented Edgars Gauracs in the proceedings before UEFA.
